WHAT DO WE OFFER
Ethio-Legal Service was established in March 2019 by Belay Tefera, a seasoned lawyer with an experience of more than 9 years in Ethiopian legal practice. Belay has an experience in providing local and foreign clients with high quality legal advice on Ethiopian law, including but not limited to employment, corporate and intellectual property matters. As such, Ethio-Legal Service provides client services tailored to meet their needs, including the provision of legal opinions on a wide range of legal matters, the incorporation of new companies, the processing of local approvals as well as litigation services in Ethiopia.

Meet The Team
Belay Tefera Zegeye holds LLB degree with Distinction from Wolaita-Sodo University School of Law. He is a seasoned corporate lawyer with close to a decade experience in Ethiopian legal practice. Belay specializes in Employment, corporate and investment law and has been involved conducting due diligence, structuring transactions and developing human resource manuals, securing permits. He is also a licensed trademark agent and handling of trade name and trade mark registration issues are also part of his specialization.
Henok Teshome Shibru holds LLB degree with very Great Distinction from Addis Ababa University School of Law. Prior to joining Ethio-legal service he worked as In-house Attorney and program officer for a local CSO focusing on labor rights issues. He also worked as volunteer legal aid provider at AAU’s Legal aid center. At Ethio-Legal Service Henok works on Labour, CSO, Corporate and Intellectual property law Issues.
Temesgen habte is a graduate of Law from wolaita sodo university and served at federal document authentication and registration agency as notary for three, years specially working on preparing different kinds of contract agreements and facilitating it from the beginning to the end at the agency for domestic and foreign clients.In addition facilitating issues at any governmental and non governmental organization .
Gabirella Yehulashet is an Associate at Ethio Legal Service. She graduated from Addis Ababa University, School of Law with Great Distinction. Prior to joining Ethio Legal Service, she has worked at international organizations and law offices. She has vast experience working in the Civil Society Organization sector and has worked at various legal aid centers, all established to assist indigent clients in exercising their right to access to justice and ensuring that, this right is not compromised because of their financial standing. As an Associate at Ethio Legal Service, she works on labour, CSO, corporate and intellectual property issues. Moreover, she prepares legal memoranda, rendering legal advice and organizing due diligence reports.
Elshaday Getachew graduated from Addis Ababa University, School of Law, with Distinction. Elshaday has previously worked in human rights related work. She has engaged as a Paralegal rendering legal advice; drafting legal documents for indigents and mediating parties in dispute; working as a pro bono legal counselor giving free legal advice on any substantive question raised about Ethiopian laws, proclamations and regulations; and on procedural laws as to the appropriate venue for their claims, the right time for appeal, and wrote several legal documents such as contracts, affidavits and pleadings both at Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association and Addis Ababa University, School of Law, free legal aid service. She has participated, as an Event Organizer, in a campus-based volunteer program working on gender equality; The Yellow Movement Addis Ababa University. She has also worked as a Legal Consultant for a local organization working primarily on labor rights and contractual issues. At Ethio Legal Service, she is a Junior Associate. She is engaged, among others, in the registration and handling regulatory matters of Civil Society Organizations, legal counseling on any legal issue, preparing legal documents and handling other human rights related work.
